Area Car Break-In's
Posted on May 19th, 2012
Car breakin-s have been reported throughout the Door Creek neighborhood. The majority of them occurred on May 16 - 17. We have had reported 2 association members whose vehicles were entered and rifled through. Fortunately there was nothing of value in them to be stolen.
Please be sure you lock your vehicles, close your garage doors, be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police.
The Board has been working with the police to investigate a neighborhood watch program for our neighborhood. Watch the web site news and DCCA Board meeting minutes for further updates.

DCCA Garage Sale???
Posted on Apr 29th, 2012
A few DCCA residents are considering coordinating a late spring DCCA garage sale. This is NOT Board or Association sponsored - and advertising would be funded by the participants.
Early to mid June is the anticipate timeframe. If you are interested - reply to the topic in the Message Board. If there is enough interest (at least 3 or 4 households) - we'll finalize dates and plans among those who wish to participate.
Time to do that spring cleaning!!!

ATTENTION: This is a Neighborhood Alert!
Posted on Jan 9th, 2012
The owner of 7034 Havenswood reported that yesterday afternoon they interrupted an individual trying to steal a piece of yard art. When confronted the individual pointed what appeared to be a handgun at them. They called 911 but the police were unable to find the individual.
This is the second incident of criminal behavior in our neighborhood in the last two months (break in on Amnicon). Please report any suspicious behaviour to the police, do not confront the individuals directly (but try to get a description of them and/or vehicles involved).
The Board will be discussing the creation of a Neighborhood Watch at our meeting tonight. So far the reported interest by owners has been low (four respondants to my last query). Whether we establish a Watch or not, this latest incident points out the need for all of us to be vigilent and follow safe practises. Even when you are home, lock your doors and windows and keep your garage door closed.
